When Duncan and Julia were little we would make many trips to the Botanical Gardens with my mother. Mum had dimentia and for some reason being at the gardens would make her a little calmer and able to enjoy the little ones more.
We would always sit and eat an ice-cream on this seat, Gran's Seat.
Before we left the gardens, Duncan and Julia would always go hunting for pinecones to feed to the lions. One lion each, one pinecone each. Both would always end up with sap on their fingers, this didn't stop us making memories that last even to this day.
Now Toby is sharing in these memories. I was able to sneak away with Toby to 'feed the lions'. His eyes lit up, feed the lions....oooh. How wonderful is this to share moments and make memories with your grandchildren, so precious.
