Walking with Peter around Boyne Island

The view just down the road from Tim's home.
The Boyne River
Trees washed down river after the cyclone a couple of months before have lodged themselves across the river on the mad flats.

A timely reminder, we are in Far North Queensland after all.
Watch out for Crocs.

Well they look like black Ibis.  We have white Ibis in Sydney, though around the next bend we came across white Ibis... still not sure.

*Note to self:  we wandered through the mangrove swamp and came across a small'ish muddy pool.  In it was a 12" long fat, soft looking fish, many tiddlers, tadpoles,
30+ tiger striped, orange and black fish about 1" in size, a crab, and Peter tells me on one of his
walks he came across an ocean turtle there. So much wildlife.

**Note to self:  if I walk 2 hours a day, will I look as great as big brother Pete when I'm 70?
