Dreams Come True......2018

Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens, Florence.
View over Rome

Rome 2018

The beautiful door ways, colours and beauty
in the everyday.   Rome.
Pitti Palace Gardens - Florence.
Beautiful Rome, day to day life going on around centuries of history.
I did it!  I walked the steps of the Colosseum.
The beautiful ceiling of your apartment in Siena.  So special.

Luisa - Siena

Oh...a little bit of my heart was left in Venice.

Venice, what a wonderful experience.

Just to walk in the English country-side.... a dream come true.
The Long Walk - Windsor.

Reaching Buckingham Palace after a lovely walk through St Jame's Park -  awsome.

So happy to see Julia tick one of her boxes, to walk on Brighton Beach and along Brighton Pier.
You have to pinch yourself really.

And joy of joys, to visit, see, walk the Cotswolds, how wonderful is this!

Images on our way through The Cotswolds 2018

Bibury

Stow-on-the-Wold
It look like a real house, but no, it's the model village of Stow-on-the-Wold.

I remembers a segment on Gardening Australia many, many years ago of this very model village, and oh my goodness here I am.  Pinch me please!

Another tick to my list.

Cotswold Bus Trip - January 2018

Scenery on the way to Bilbury, Bourton-on-the-Water (the Venice of the Cotswolds)
and Stow-on-the-Wold.  Highest point on our trip.  Us Tasmanian's have a different idea of mountains.

Bibury

A lovely walk along the stream to lunch.

Watercress in the stream.  What a lovely walk.

Swan Hotel on the River Coln.  Lunch time.
The fast flowing water has a salmon hatchery to the left of frame.  Yes it did remind me of the Salmon Ponds in Tassie.

In The Cotswolds.....Heaven

We had a wonderful little walk around in Burford.

What is it with us and graveyards.  Century old graves and this lovely walk to the church doorway.

TICK - another dream come true.

Exploring London...Walk, Walk, Walk

Millennium Bridge - London 2018

Globe Theatre - waiting for the next tour group.
The iron gates outside the Globe Theatre depict features from Shakspear's plays, they are only ever opened for the Queen to enter the Theatre.

I couldn't bring this darling framed image on the plane so, I took a photo.
My little mouse, Julia, is certainly fierce through life.

The Tate Modern.
Very excited.  A fire alarm had us exiting, but we returned and resumed.

The Esplanade at Brighton - January 2018

This place would be a hive of activity during the summer.

Art Deco buildings line the foreshore.

Who is your new friend Julia?
We lost most of our small change playing games out on the pier.  A few rides were still running, we picked up some rock candy and souvenirs as well as an ice-cream each, perfect really.

The Royal Pavilion

As the day ends.... the setting sun makes this amazing building look mystical.

Whoops - no photos allowed.  This is the kitchen in the Pavilion.
I just loved this place.  We just scraped in before closing...so glad we didn't miss out.  Very plush and grand, nice little shack by the beach for some.  I loved it, and it has an extensive gift shop.

Getting quite dark, so off for a meal at yet another pub, before we head back to London.
Fantastic Day!

Brighton, England 2018

The camera is out as we step off the train.   It's going to be a great day!

Wow, even though it's winter there are still sightseers about.

Proof we are walking on Brighton Beach.  I love the sound of the waves hitting the pebbles, and the gurgle through the rocks as the wave retreats, special memory.

Very steep and every level has a different sized pebble.

Off we go to Brighton Pier.
