Play Dough

What is it about play dough that we all find irresistible.

It's a mile stone in a child's life.
Next will be colouring-in.  Such joyful, calming, restful play.  A time when child and mum can just 'be'.
No need to rush, make noise, just sit still.  A perfect way to teach your child quiet time.
Because we all know when they go to Kinder and they don't know how to sit still....
Hmm....let's not go there.

Oh Henry....

You darling little man, Henry.

I so love the hat!  What a prefect use of gran's  fabric baskets.
We love you so much X X X X X

The Back Door...

 Sweet Autumn scene.
Kitchen window, side of house.

Some will remember the garden flags very popular in the US.  Yes I still have mine.
Again a very brown entrance, the back door.
Some little friends saying welcome.
Back door enters onto the mezzanine floor, you step into dinning room with the kitchen off that.
Upstairs to the bedrooms and baths, downstairs to lounge, office, rumpus, laundry, hall, then up steps to the front entrance with double garage to the right.

Winter Colour

Winter flowering Camellias in the side garden.
Lighten the heart on a grey day.

Boys At The Park

Sam with Henry at the park.

You are such a happy chappy Henry.

We love you and miss you all.

Welcome

Try as I might this is still a very brown entrance.
In it's favour the area is large, sunny and surrounded by huge, beautiful trees.
You are welcome to come a knocking.....

Birds of a Feather

Some of my purchases from Salamanca Market in Tasmania.
Darling little bird on a branch swing, along with new additions to the old bird cage I found on the side of the road in one of the local clean up days.  I've added succulents, old mans moss, lichen covered twigs, birds and this sweet bird house, a gift from a dear friend.

As the days draw in....

Day drawing to a close earlier and earlier, naturally this triggers the nesting instinct.
Hence the purchase of two new additions.
The larger ginger jar lamp is now in the rumpus room
and the tall chrysanthemum lamp lends a warm glow to the lounge room.
Happy Winter One and All.

Autumn is here

It's not all soccer, soccer, soccer.
Sometimes there are some lovely finds just around the corner from a soccer ground.
As you can see maples grow fast and tall in NSW and this year the temps dropped fast
giving deciduous trees wonderful colour.

Refereeing at UTS

As you can see this field is a far cry from Northbridge's quality astro turf field.
But be grateful as we know Sydney certainly knows how to rain and these
grounds are going to quickly turn into mud.

Central Ref Duncan Clark

Duncan refereeing his first game!
Men's mixed age game
Northbridge Oval
4 Yellow Cards, and 1 ambulance called out.
Duncan handled himself very well.  His calm, decisive manner stood him in good stead.
An initiation by fire, surely it couldn't get any harder than this 1st game.

Sunday Drive

It was a lovely sunny May day.  Percy was away so we decided to go exploring.
This is taken at Swains Nursery, Dural, NSW.
