8am race start.
The trail runs through the Garingal National Park in the St Ives area. 10K Fun Run.
Our area is actually surrounded by national parks. The Garingal and The Ka-Ring-Gai National Parks, hence our area is known as the leafy north shore.
The weather was warm, 19 C to 25 C, with a little cloud cover. SIHS meeting place at the St Ives Park Primary School. Well organized event.

Julia's time: 1 hr- 12mins- 17 sec.....6 km walk

+ 1 twisted ankle = fun morning.

Just managed to snap the start...though missed Julia.

Proof Julia did participate....good for you Jules.

Gee Up Team! These guys did very well to motivate everyone before the race. Good fun.

Today Henry received a clean bill of health.

12 Months on from his heart surgery, all is good.

Well done little man, and well done to your mum & dad, Sam and Lu.

Those days when you were 10 I think, you loved being the catcher. Wearing all the protective gear was the attraction. I remember thinking hmmm looks like Darth Vader.

Good on you, in time perhaps you will coach Henry's baseball team...hmmm?
