Squash....at last!

I am so, so very happy to be able to show Duncan and Julia the game of squash.

Here we are at the Willoughby Squash Club.

They are both picking up the game quite well. Both Percy and I so hope they continue and grow to fall in love with the sport as we did, all those years ago.

For those that don't know the game, you can see the ball in the 2nd photo, black spot on the blue/orange line, Duncan is about to take the shot after the ball comes off the back wall.

1st photo - Julia is serving.

Yes, Percy and I do play with D & J. It was so good to walk onto a squash court after being away for 10 years +. I didn't know how much I had missed it.

GOBBLE, GOBBLE

Cockatoos on the deck are one thing..... Mr Brush Turkey thinks

he can get a free meal .

It seems there are more brush turkeys around this year, interesting.

Henry love monkeys!

Look at all that hair Henry!

Sweet little fellow.

I saw these little monkeys at Bed, Bath & Table, and thought how cute are they, I know just the bedroom for those. Looks like they didn't quite make it. Good for you Henry.

Welcome Christmas #2

Version 2 with a twist.

This time white card body, Pear Pizzazz, Pretty in Pink, & Cherry Cobbler. Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler inks. Various pink ribbons.

Seasons Greetings # 1

I think this is my favourite, simple but nice.

Very Vanilla card body, Old Olive, & Cherry Cobbler card stock and inks. Oh and a little Pear Pizzazz behind the Cherry Cobbler. Red glitter berries add a little sparkle.

Thank you Sarah from my stamp club for the idea.

Welcome Christmas....

One of three different variations from this lovely stamp set.

White card stock body, Cherry Cobbler, Olive Green & various Designer Series Papers in red & white. Love the simplicity of this card.

Centre Stamp is embossed in Cherry Cobbler so has a gloss and texture to it. Nice.

Christmas is coming.....

Whoo's Merry?

Little cuties. Little santa hats are 1 1/4 " circle punch cut in half (Cherry Cobbler), add trimed down Word Window punch (white) & left over eyes from Owl Builder punch as the pompoms used on the hats. Add inked edges (crumb cake) and glitter and there you have merry christmas owl tags.
Welcome Christmas stamp set...oh so many uses!
Crumb Cake ink on small pre cut tags (store bought). Tree stamped in and on Old Olive.
I added red glitter Christmas balls to the trees and dimentional foam dots to highlight them.

A smaller version of the Believe tags.

This time on Confetti White (a favourite) Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake inks.

Making these little added extras for Christmas really get me into the Christmas
Spirit. Such fun.

BOO !

Oh I do love this little fellow!

I think he will make a lovely candy bag topper.

I must take this moment to thank Kirstin for the scallop edging punch. It made this cute black look a-like lace ribbon. Thank you Kirstin.

Crafty Moments: I Believe

Christmas is coming....I quite like these stamps together.

Tags are off cuts of thick card stock, nice and heavy.

Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake inks.

Henry, it looks like a warm day in Tassie.

You look so cool in your boardies!

What-cha doing Henry?

The Entrance, Central Coast, NSW

Checking out the boardwalk area of The Entrance, very family friendly and a real seaside atmosphere. We left home with rain threatening, only to arrive an hour later to beautiful warm/hot sunshine. The Entrance is to our north, an easy Sunday drive from home. Lovely restaurants, bistros and bars all at waters edge. With the added bonus of a huge beach....and I mean huge.....

Good family time.

The Entrance, Central Coast, NSW

3:30 pm is Pelican feeding time on the boardwalk at The Entrance.

We had just finished a late lunch of fish and chips at a lovely waterside chippy. Fish was a popular item on the menu...

It never ceases to amazed us at how big pelicans actually are. Still these birds were so well behaved. Julia noted that once a bird received a fish from the handler it would turned around and leave. Thus allowing other birds to move forward and be fed. All are wild and just fly in and wait for the handlers to appear.

Lovely way to pass the time.

The Things You See.....

While we were sightseeing on the Central Coast we came across these pelicans....interesting.

National Rugby League Grand Final 2011

Our First NRL Grand Final, Oct 3rd, 2011

Auckland Warriors {New Zealand} vs Manly Sea Eagles {NSW}

As you can see we are in the nose-bleed seats. But what a show!

Manly Sea Eagles won in a convincing manner, never mind Percy, next year, perhaps.

I would like to sing the praises of the transport system in Sydney.

We took the train from near our home to Central Station. Then caught the connecting train to Olympic Park, and the ANZ Stadium.

As with all major sports events transport to and from the event is free.

Nice to see families and groups travelling hassle free. Makes for a good experience for all.
